Explanation and Language of Jin Ping Mei is a book explaining the myth and folk tales in the book Jin Ping Mei, which is a Chinese erotic literature of the adventurous history of the main character XiMen Qing and his six wives.

The design concept is based on the Chinese traditional saying of “red plum flower peeking out the wall/window”, which means one of the married couple is sneaking out to cheat on the other one. Placing the title in the middle of the white frames (which mimics the shape of traditional Chinese wooden window frames), to literarily opening the window to the readers so that they are welcomed take a peek inside the stories.
